DESIGN

Chery's design language, called Hydro Dynamic Surfacing (HDS), uses flowing surface shapes drawn from water movement. The result is an exterior that looks deliberate rather than generic — sharper than budget, more restrained than ostentatious. Across the range from the Tiggo Cross to the Tiggo 8 PHEV, the family resemblance is clear. These are not cars that date badly.

AUTOPILOT

Every Chery model sold in Malaysia includes some level of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) as standard. The higher the variant, the more complete the suite — from ADAS 1.0 in the Tiggo Cross up to ADAS 2.5 in the Tiggo 8 PRO and PHEV. Adaptive cruise control, lane centring, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360° cameras are present across the range where relevant. On Malaysian highways this translates to measurably reduced driver fatigue on daily commutes.

TECHNOLOGICAL FORESIGHT

The Malaysian Chery lineup covers the full powertrain spectrum: conventional turbo petrol in the Tiggo Cross and Tiggo 7 PRO, dedicated hybrid (HEV) in the Tiggo Cross HEV, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in the Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV, and full electric in the OMODA E5. Buyers can choose their powertrain based on their actual driving patterns — city-heavy daily commuters benefit most from the PHEV models; highway-dominant drivers will find the HEV's 940 km range the most practical choice.
